Don't worry to much about how it's all going to work because by the time you
are at the wireing stage you'll be a pro. And there is nothing better than
knowing that you built something that works. With some speed controlls it
can be as easy as an R/C car (like the anvilus) you just plug them in. The
only reason it's confussing is because you are building the actual speed
control and once it's built you can just plug it in and go... I'm not the
one to be talking about wireing because I'm no pro (not even novice).
