A gyro could be used to keep the turret pointed at the last compass
heading it was last set to, keep the barrel at the same angle it was
last left at, or help keep the tank moving in a straight line (the
battlebot guys use gyros for this).

I gave up on wireless video. I may get one of the new micro digital
cameras that record video and fool around with that.

Yes, I shoot at moving vehicles all the time, while moving and
stationary.

No

I have tactics. Maybe I'll write a book someday like Rommel, wait a
minute, he lost didn't he? ;-)

I quick comment on gyro stabilized guns, gun cameras, virtual reality
helmets, and the various other gizmo's people have talked about. If you
want to fool around with these things go for it, but you may want to
actually battle a tank before spending time and money on gizmos. RC
Tank Combat is a fast paced game and after trying it I think you'll find
that stabilized guns, cameras and whatnot will be of little use on the
battlefield. While your trying to find a target though the limited view
of your camera (assuming you can get it to work reliably) you'll find
someone like me or Frank swinging around your side and blasting away.
Once you learn your tank you'll be able to hit targets easily enough
from the third person perspective. I was only playing with a camera to
get promotional video. I never had any illusions that it would be of
any benefit on the battlefield.
