HI both Steves
I too got fed up with the spammers and tried to locate them, so
I could voice my displeasure. When that didn't prove to be very
practical I decided to try another tack. I went to the site they
wanted me to and complained to their customer. I got several
replys -- all nice understanding ones. I think I got a few companys
to quit supporting SPAMMERS.
I note Big Brother is now taking a hand in the spam batter. He
fined two cos. over 100,000. That will take the profit out of spam.

: True story:
:
: An associate of mine had the pleasure of dealing with one of
"Spamford"
: Wallace's
(http://www.annonline.com/interviews/970522/biography.html)
: deluges. He chose to handle it by tracking down Spamford's corporate
: offices and telephoning, and requesting that his entire domain be
: permanently removed from all of Spamford's lists.
:
: They laughed, refused, and hung up on him. Then they added his
domain to
: a few more lists.
:
: Rather than be upset about the additional SPAM, my friend decided to
: demonstrate his displeasure in a similar fashion, although using a
: different medium. He went to a truck stop, found a few of the most
: disgusting hard-core gay porn magazines, paid in advance for 1-year
: subscriptions, and had them delivered to Spamford's home address (ah
: yes, the information you can find on the Internet).
:
: He then called Spamford's office again. Again, they were rude and
: uncooperative.
:
: And so my friend went back to the truck stop and ordered up some
more
: subscriptions... this time, with Spamford's name, but using his
: neighbors' addresses.
:
: Shortly thereafter, the SPAM stopped.
