TTS rubber [TANKS]

Steve,
I've tried two different types of rubber for my drive wheels and both have 
failed. the first was sponge strip and the second was neoprene rubber. So I 
need some advice on the subject. Are the bungee cords you used still holding 
up? And how did you fix them to your drive wheels, nails, glue, nails & 
glue?? any help would be appreciated.
