Robert, 

I made two blanks tonight I made them 6 1/2 by 6 1/2
and then screwed them together with dry wall screws. I
made a compass and scribed a circle 2 1/6". At the top
of the circle I laid out a line at 47 degrees. 

I sawed the rough outline using my table saw and a
coping saw and then finish sanded it using a drum
sander in my drill press. 

It turned out pretty good. 

How wide is the 2 1/16 section? I have a sheet of 22
gauge sheet metal and I may form the nose using that.
How did you handle the transition to the narrower
section?
