A hearty welcome goes out to Todd from Lima, Ohio and Michael from
Meerbusch, Germany. If you're in their general vicinity, please post a
message with your location and hopefully you can help them get started.

I thought that everyone should share in the comments made by Todd in his

subscription message:

Everyone who has joined the hobby over the past few years should be
proud of your accomplishments to date. Operational large scale tanks
are not the easiest thing to make and it takes a lot of devotion to not
only get them built, but to make it to the battlefield and actually
battle them. But, once you've made that initial time investment, the
fun dividends are enormous.

In 2005, I think we'll see an increase in R/C battles around the world,
which will cause the hobby to grow even more. So, I encourage everyone
to simply pick a battle date and go for it. There's nothing like a
deadline to encourage everyone to work harder and there's nothing like a

battle to show you what you did right and wrong in the shop. You only
need three tanks, armored cars, trucks or artillery pieces to make it
interesting and once you experience the thrill first hand, you'll find
it easier to attract others into your group. And, after you've held the

battle, you'll be able to write about your exploits for the whole world
(literally) to see on the web site.

Keep up the good work ... world domination is just around the corner.
