David,
Looks great (I am extremely jealous!) I did the same thing with cardboard to build the top of my tank, it was then traces onto door skin and that is being fiberglased.

Hi fellow tankers,

I've been busy getting the lower hull nearly finished and have now started
the template for the upper hull.  It will need another take as it looks a
bit low on top and too much angle at the front.  I went with 3mm alloy plate
for the lower hull which is screwed and glued to the suspension rails.
guards are in 2mm alloy.  The hardest part was the front axle bearing
support mounts which are made out of 20mm x 10mm alloy with a half circle
cut into them to support the bearing. I then made a steal strap to bolt over
the other half.  It seams to be very solid and turns freely.  Santa should
be bring my drill motors, so that will be next.
