Yeah, I got some go kart bearings and made my own mounts for them.  Now that I look 
back, I wonder if it was worth my time . . . especially because I'm slow with this 
stuff.  

Chris, sorry if this has been answered before but do you have an idea for how much 
the tracks cost you?

I'd like to eventually do some casting.  The parts I see used are:

1) oomoo 30
  2 pints = $22
  is that enough/too much?  does the container of the cast have to be rectangular - 
or can you skimp and create a rough negative and fill it in with the silicone goop?

2) smooth-on 300
  how much in terms of quarts/cost?

3) what else is needed, any good how-to's out there?

Frank, what did you use for the negative?  same oomoo stuff?
It seems like you guys agree on ~4 peices at once

I'll probably try casting after my next failed . . . err - just "next" - track 
system.  That is slated for just after finals (next weekend).
