Subject: RE: 300w E Bay Motors
Kurt,
I bought two 300W scooter motors
from scooterpartoutlet for $22 each including shipping. See Ebay
#7116354098 . They took one week to arrive from CA to PA.
mfg
specs - 24 VDC, 2500 rpm, 16.5 A, 300 W
I tested them on the bench but
have not yet mounted them in a
hull.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
300 W scooter motors 4
inch DIA body, four mounting feet with M6 threaded holes reversible, motor
leads not connected to case supplied with 11T sprocket for #25
chain
12 VDC - test data 1810 rpm CW at 0.8 A 1760 rpm CCW at 0.7
A 26 in.lbf stall torque at 37 A
24 VDC - test data 3650 rpm CW
at 1.0 A 3550 rpm CCW at 0.9 A 36 in.lbf stall torque at 64 A 0.4
peak HP - based on mfg spec
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
EV
Warrior - CCW timing 4 inch DIA body, no mounting feet reversible, one
motor lead connected to case
12 VDC - data from Robot
Marketplace 2210 rpm CW at 2.6 A 43 in.lbf stall torque at 99 A 0.4
peak HP
24 VDC - data from Robot Marketplace 4480 rpm CW at 2.6 A
??? 87 in.lbf stall torque at 198 A 1.5 peak
HP
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Most tankers use 9:1 reduction
with their 12 VDC EV Warriors to provide 245 rpm no load speed and 387
in.lbf stall torque.
Using this motor at 24 VDC with 12:1
reduction would provide 304 rpm no load speed and 432 in.lbf stall
torque.
I estimate that you need about 350 to 400 in.lbf stall
torque with a 4 inch DIA drive sprockets to execute full skid
turns.
At 24 VDC these motors are suitable replacements for 12 VDC
EV Warriors. They appear to be the standard motor for most 24 VDC
scooters.
