I think my thought processing must be ass-backwards from the mainstream! Instead of
making my belt length a multiple of some predetermined track spacing, I adjusted the
track spacing for the belt length! ;-)
How I did this was to draw a 1:1 scale spacing template in my favorite vector
drawing program (CorelDraw). I then "stretched" it to the required belt length and
printed it full size on a dot matrix printer. You can use a laser/inkjet and tape
the paper together. Here's a pic of the template test fitted on the T34 while under
construction,
