Marc,  I would not recommend attachment chain if tank is going to used for a child. You don't want any fingers near the track.  With Ev warriors anything that gets into the chain just gets chewed up into little pieces. The attachment chain doesn't need much maintenance, works fine with a little rust.

By the way: if anyone needs EV Warriors, the Robotmarketplace.com has only a few for sale (for 23,99 dollar!!) since one buyer bought almost all stock, and it even wasn't us Dutch!! They sent a mail stating they only have a few left. So if you want some, hurry ...
