Hi Frank.
I have noticed a lot of "traffic" on the subject of tracks. Maybe, I
can
help those folks that want "real" tracks. I have access to track link
castings, in alum. that are exact copies of the original, for more types of
tank that you can think of. At this time have no idea on cost. I would have
to import them. That could be cost effective if there is sufficient qty.
Typically these are pinned with approx. 12 SWG copper wire, that has been
headed at one end, and bent over at the other ( inside) end. These provide
excellent traction, WD40 does a great lube job, ( my Tigger will pull a car
on level ground in mud) They do stretch and require adjustment/link removal.
The raw castings would require drilling , with a drill jig. These are
probably only of interest to folks that want genuine appearance and high
performance. If there is any interest I will pursue the matter further.
Perhaps we could divi. up a crate load. Please advise.
Regards, Tony, the new guy.
