Andrew,
I would think making a frame from steel or aluminum
tubing, then suspending an 1/8 or 1/6 scale monster
truck drivetrain. My oft delayed APC project has now
had 3 different suspension/drivetrain setups since it
inception (to the point I haven't even looked at
building the body). Also, a very expensive option, is
1/4 scale hot rods. They have solid axles and working
diffs. Good luck and hope to see your progress soon.

Gday to all, I'm having problems with the construction
of my ambulance, (support truck), can anyone offer
help on suitable rc cars/ trucks to be used as base
components for my project. The thing is that The body
of my truck is made out of sheet steel with some
square rhs tubeing (rolled hollow steel ) as a "roll"
cage, so it's quite heavy. My main problem is being
able to suport the truck and get it to move well, does
anyone have any ideas about a good base vechicle? my
thoughts where to use the front end off a well sprung
rc truck and make up the rear out a drill motor. also
just wondering can anyone think of a good name for the
Australian side of this hobby, my thoughts where the
"matilda markers".
cheers, Andrew Tyler
