I'm not sure what type of belts are used in the manufacturing world, but
the treadmill belts work very well. They have the right mix of
flexibility and durability needed for the job. So, if you can find a
belt that is durable (most of them are very durable) and that is
flexible enough to form into a 6 foot diameter circle (basically the
size of our tracks) then it should work fine.
