I am pleased to say that we've had a burst of new tank building activity
showing that the hobby is starting to grow strong around the globe.

From the land down under (Australia), Chris Barthelson's Tiger-1 has
progressed quite far in just a month, earning it the official
designation as Tank #T030. You can see and read about his progress at:

        http://www.rctankcombat.com/tanks/T030/

Chris has clearly shown that much can be accomplished in a short period
of time by reviewing the work of earlier builders on the website and
selecting the design that suits your building style and means.

After fulfilling his son's dreams of riding in his own 1/5 scale
Sherman, Bill Johns (New York) is now pursuing his own dream of a 1/6
scale British Mk V*. As the first WW-I tank in the hobby, the Mk V has
earned the designation as Tank #T031, with lots of nice details and
photos at:

When completed and operational, the MK V* will certainly be one of the
coolest tanks on the battlefield. (Bill, please note that the official
rules have been updated to reflect the special circumstances posed by a
tank with only "13mm" of armor. In short, it's exempt from frontal hits
just like any other tank, albeit with a lower defensive rating.)

And last, but not least, across the pond in Amsterdam, Siggy Koster's
Tiger-1 has truly pushed the hobby to another level with regard to
scale. Siggy has not only shown his talent by providing the hobby with
a couple of great logos, but he now is setting the standard for detail
work earning his Tiger 1 a designation as Tank #T032. You can see his
nice work at:

although we're hoping to get some more photos to truly do it justice.
