No, it's not fake and Germany did build and test some. I was looking
into this design before I got to the no Prototype rule. It's build on a
Leapord chassis and not many, like less than 5, were made. One is still
in the Panzermuseum in Munster. Official name is "Versuchsträger 1-2"
and it is called on the website as "Kasemattenpanzer" - CASEMATE TANK
with a 120mm twin cannon.
