John

Definitely breaking new ground here !
Personally I would power both ends of the track if you are going for the TTS friction drive , that way not all the power is being put into 1 set of wheels ? thereby increasing the friction area.

I was wondering if anyone could give me some advice on electric motors. I've decided to use some KCM's I can fnd around here, and I've also decided to use a belt drive system to gear it down and connect it to the drive sproket. However, the proposed size of my tank is a bit of a problem (We're hoping to be under 200 lbs).
So naturally I need alot of power. And I've decded to try 4 KCM's. So I was wondering, is there a problem with attaching 2 motors to a drive sproket? Or do I have to power the idoler wheels as well if I want to put extra motors in?
