Steve and Paul,
There has been a real groundswell of local robot
combat events in the US in the last two years. Check
out http://www.botleague.com for an event schedule.
Rumor is that BattleBots is working on a comeback TV
deal for November, but you never know about something
like that until it happens. There are probably a
couple hundred teams that could be considered "active"
in this sport in the US. Less TV exposure, but more
local events to attend!
