wj

lazy susan no required !
get hold of a pair of used inline skates , these will give you 8 wheels
with bearings.
take 3 wheels and spin them in a drill sanding them to a taper with 1/4" [
6mm ] left on the outer edge.
mount these 3 either recessed on the hull top or directly on the hull floor
under the turret location [ vertical as they were in the skates ] these
will take the weight of the turret.
you may need to extend the turret basket down to sit on those on the hull
floor.
take 2 more and build a groove in either the turret floor or the hull top
and mount these wheels horizontal , one fixed that engages in the groove
and one adjustable or spring loaded that sits in the groove but will allow
turret removal , these control the turret laterally and stop it popping out
of it's hole over rough ground.
don't forget that if the turret is driven by a friction wheel/roller than
the turret can be moved without breaking anything , if your gun overhangs
the front and you have a 'solid' geared turret drive something will break
should the gun hit a obstruction whilst the tank is in motion.
sorry for long ramble , drawing could be supplied if description and
language barriers prevent you/someone else understanding it !
