Hi Steve,

Red your wheelchair story. I bought a joystick operated wheelchair and it will definately do the job! It is very powerfull, has got all the drives complete, an automatic fuse, variable speed, hazard lights, a horn and can drive a drewling 120 kilo weighing elderly uphill. Is there any better start for a tank project?
You can see my wheelchair at www.commandojurre.tk click on the tank GIF that I kindly stole from the RCtankcombat site (but I added the site to my links page, so I don't expect a lawsuit or anything).
The other project on the site is the pedal cart that I built for my son, I finished it earlier this week so now I can finally start building my tank!!
So check out my site and teach yourself the fine art of speaking Dutch when figuring out the text next to the photos.

Bye!

Marc

Subject: Update on M4 El Toro

I have been slowly updating my M4. My wife and I are about to close on our first house so that has been consuming a lot of my Tank time/money!

I have switched gears and am in the process of building a HVSS suspension because I purchased the 2060 attachment chain that Will has been so kind to distribute among the group. I think I am going to try to find a used wheelchair complete with battery, charger and twin motors to power the tank. I am not sure if others have gone this way but since I know little about electronics, I feel it will be the best/easiest way for me to power and control my Sherman.

I look forward to romping around a battlefield some day soon. As soon as I can accomplish something new worthy of posting I will send it in!

I agree with you though, I do get excited to see other pictures of people's progress. If anything it makes me want to work on mine!
