We'll probably be choosing dates for the Spring and Summer East Coast
battles sometime in the next month or so, at which point we'll be sure
to post them to the mailing list.
I would encourage people in other regions to start talking about setting
a date for an event or two in your region as well. Even if only a few
people have operational tanks and there is more fixing than fighting, it
will still be fun. Besides, there's nothing like a deadline to motivate
people to complete their projects.
Remember, in the first battle, two tanks simply sat facing each other,
barely moved around and we had to constantly fix things. A year later,
5 tanks fought for two days with plenty of excitement for everyone. And
this year, we hope to have 10 vehicles on the field with plenty of chaos
to go with them.
It all starts with just saying that "we're going to have a battle" (and
then working like a dog to get things ready for it!!)
