The thing I've been putting into perspective is the price of real, full
sized tracked armor. A m29c Weasel, that I've thinking about purchasing in a
year or so, sell for $3k for a running restoration project up to $8k for a
parade piece. I've seen others from $5k to $20k for turrented tanks and
half-tracks. The nice think about some of the tankettes is they are able to
be converted over to 1/2 scale working replicas or real tanks. Something
that can be driven.
Personally, I can't see spending thousands on a 1/6th scale. Which would be
a big factor as to the popularity of tank combat, as seen in the modeling
side. But as a newbie, I definitely see a need for some entrepreneur to
start up a 1/6 battle tank manufacturer. Or even something as simple as
selling cd's of plans and instructions for individual tanks.

Here's some questions.
How much would anybody be willing to pay for a used tank? If I were willing
to sell my tank for instance (T005). The purchaser would be getting a fully
functional, state of the art, proven combat veteran. Included would be the
radio, batteries, and any spare parts I've accumulated.
How much would someone be willing to pay for a new tank or a tank destroyer
(no turret)?
How much would someone be willing to pay for a converted store bought
Stuart?
An armored car?
