Sounds good Frank. I'd like to keep from hacking it to bad. Any
suggestions for a trim inexpensive 40 cal marker??

I'm not sure that you'll need to replace the turret rotate system, which
looks like a pretty compact design. Although the turret is small as is,
it's not much smaller than other operational tanks, like the Panzer IV,
and it has a flat bottom turret as well. A 68 caliber marker may be too
big, but you should be able to fit a 40 caliber gun into the turret,
laying on its side. It looks like you have at least three inches of
height, and most guns are about 1" or so thick, leaving you enough room
for a flat magazine above the gun. You may not get a maximum 10 degree
elevation, but in fact, few operational tanks achieve that anyway. Even
just a couple of degrees is enough for most battle conditions.

So, before you destroy the rotate assembly below the turret, try fitting
a marker into the turret as is (after removing that bulkhead). If after
that it doesn't fit, you can always cut a hole in the bottom and try
another approach.
