Greetings Bill and All,
I love those old heavy metal WWI tanks! I can't wait to see this baby
in the field!
I'm not sure if these would work for you as far as the Rules are
concerned, but they might give you a closer resemblance to the 26mm
guns of the MkV* vs. the WWII 70mm. For X'mas my son gave me a
Splatamatic .40 cal PBM. Even he had to lift an impressed eyebrow after
we did some field testing in the backyard. The drawbacks are --
standard pull trigger setup, uses a contained CO2 (100 shots per
cylinder) cartridge rather than the remote air systems, and they come
about the same size as the standard PBM pistol. All of which can be
overcome with applied modern technology. --LOL
As to the "reality" of a WWI tank vs. a WWII tank -- What kind of
chance do you think either class would stand vs. a modern Abrams using
her speed, armor, targeting systems, and firing modern armor piercing
HE rounds??? Snowballs in Hell come to mind. --LOL
Reality is what you make it. Always make it FUN!
