Hello Paul!

My new project is a mini-tank for my son to drive in. So I'm not going for the battle-part (although maybe this mailinglist changes my mind!!). For this purpose I bought a joystick operated electric wheelchair, to be able to build the drive system.

I am thinking of building a recce vehicle without a turret, considering the fact that my son has to be able to sit in it comfortably. That would not be possible wih a turret mounted, or the tank would become too large. So an M113 (but actualy too dull) or an YPR 765 would be more appropriate.
I have checked out the RC-site regularly and very much like the so called Tyng track system with the molded innerparts, as seen on tank #1, the improved version.

So Paul, what part of the UK are you from? I have spent a few holidays over there so I might have been somewhere around!

Regards,

Marc

Hi Marc

I am in the UK and attempting to build a 1/6 scale Cromwell what tank do you want to build ?
Do you have any plans yet or any thoughts on the type of tracks you will build ?
The folks on the list are very helpful and tolerant of beginners so don't be afraid to shout up if you have any problems/questions
regards paul
