Keep in mind that the M5 is a fairly small tank, and
an M1 is a fairly huge tank. I wouldn't be surprised
to find that a real M1 is 50-100% longer than an M5.
So that may be part of the reason things aren't adding
up. And I'm sure you're correct that the model M5
isn't exactly to scale.
