Yes, I
am familiar with how the drive works on the T34. I didn't replicate it on
the T005 because I felt the wooden track teeth wouldn't be up to the task.
If I could figure a way to make the track pieces out of aluminum (cheaply) then
I think it would work well.
Attached is a photo that clearly illustrates how the T34 drive wheel was
put together. Basically two disks with six rollers mounted between
them. The rollers engage the guide teeth on the
tracks.
