Hi Guys,
Spent a day Slaving over a hot bench saw, angle grinder, drill...etc and
have come up with the following jpegs.
The first is a diagram of real pz 4 suspention.
I have traded the leaf for a spring.
Added a screw to ajust spring tension and clamped 2 sets of bogies to a
piece of timber for trialing
The spring came from a hardware shop, has maximum safe load of 10 pounds (8
springs = 80 pound tank), and has a maximum stretch of 40 mm. I might need
to try other springs depending on finished weight.
The only problem this system seems to have at the moment is the spring is
too low to the bottom of the wheel, so tommorrow the attacment will be
raised.
The suspension system sits directly over the track so hopfuly ground
clearance won't be too much an issue.
If this works out like I hope (please, please, please) ST1's should be
adaptable to any tank that that runs on bogies.
