>8mm = 5/16" in english....FYI 8mm is a hair larger than 5/16". You'll have no problem using 8mm bearings with 5/16" diameter shaft or bolts. You have problems when you try to push an 8mm shaft through a 5/16" hole. Does anybody else out there think the metric system is one of mankind's greater follies? Steve 'I Loathe Metric' Tyng
