During our first battle in the spring one of my EV's twisted a metal pulley off of a
1/2" steel shaft. Apparently I didn't file a good enough flat on the shaft for the
setscrew to hold onto. The setscrew ground a nice spiral pattern on the shaft as
the motor twisted the pulley off.

I don't think a plastic gearbox will hold up long with an EV Warrior.

*Have all the veterans abandoned the KCM drives or is somebody using the drive gears
with EV warrior motors?*

**To my knowledge, nobody has attempted to marry the EVs with the KCM gear boxes,
but it may be worth some experimentation**

Wow, I'd be afraid to try that. I have no experience with the KCM gearboxes, but
they have plastic gears right? Even if they are metal, they were designed for the
KCM motors. I have some experience with the EV's (I have two pair), and they are far
more powerful (that's why we like them). I'd be afraid that the power of the motor
itself would ruin the gearbox. Even if it worked, the first time one of your tracks
jammed, the gearbox is likely to self-destruct. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to have
someone test it, then we would know for sure, but be prepared to sacrifice your
gearboxes in the name of science.
