My brother ran his Marder chassis around with KCM drives.
Some quick observations:
1. Speed was okay, but this was a very light chassis, still
not close to EV warriors.
2. He jammed a track on some rocks and the KCM drives
started skipping gears. This is probably by design and/or
because of flexing of the plastic gear housing.
3. On the UN armored car that sports for KCM drives power is
not a problem. However, speed is still slower than EV
warriors. Solution may be to run 18 Volts with some cooling
to prevent overheating. This is still not been tried.
4. 10 inch tires would also boost the speed, but not scale.
5. Battery life was not an issue running 4 in the car.
