On Hetzer #T010, I roughed the surface of the plexiglass
with fine sandpaper and applied two light coats of
grey spray-can enamel primer.

Following the 1943-45 German color scheme,

I then applied a coat of latex exterior house paint
that I had mixed to match Dunkelgelb RAL7028
(Dark yellow)

For the camo colors Olivgrun RAL6003 (Green) and
Rotbraun RAL8017 (Redbrown), I used interior latex
furniture paint. The green was right out the can, and
I mixed the Rotbraun by hand using 50-50 green and
a burgundy red.

I used a hose on the Hetzer after the Saturday battles
at Steve's house.

I only had one minor paint ball blister on a road wheel.
I think that it is combination of high pressure at the point
of impact and the sorbitol/glycerin/glycol in the paint that
acts as solvent and causes blisters.

On a related matter, the GOOP was very thick on the
lower hull of the Hetzer, and on her wheels and axles.
It was a nasty combination of paint ball paint, dust, sand,
straw, etc.

For those contemplating suspensions, I question the
use of springs or shocks on the outside of hull. Based
on post-battle cleanup and long term functionality, I
recommend internal springs/shocks and a waterproof
lower hull similar to Steve Gusikoski's and Darren Baker's
Tigers.
