Greetings All,
Okay, this is a bit Off Topic, but not entirely so. See it does
include Paint Balling and even future possibilities for Armor Combat up
here under The Big Sky. Though primarily it is a proud parent bragging
about his son's achievement.
After a month of very hard work, all of which was completed after
their regular work and on their weekends, usually working up until two
in the morning, our son and a couple of his friends have turned an old
slaughterhouse into Billings first and only Indoor Paintball Arena.
At yesterday's grand opening the turnout was simply fantastic. Folks
were lined up and the place stayed packed from the moment they opened
their doors until they were forced to close them again at midnight.
They fully expect to see the same type of turnout again today.
This sport has made a huge splash up in these parts. Even Mother
Nature seems to be a fan since she so thoughtfully provided
inspirational weather conditions by dropping the temps from the 70's
into the single digits along with six inches of snow. ("Hhhmmm, play in
an open field with frozen paintballs or play in a well heated and
lighted League Qualified indoor arena?" -- Not much brain work to
figure that one out. --LOL)
Naturally, we are proud of our son's entrepreneurial achievement and
wish them all the very best of luck.
As to Armor Combat -- Naturally, our son has been interested in the
idea since I first mentioned it to him. Now he and his partners are
considering the future possibilities of expanding their arena into some
of the adjoining buildings to include an indoor tank combat area as
well. Now wouldn't that be a kick???
Thanks for tolerating the gushing.
Dan
