Thanks for the thought's Chris. I'm contemplating several ideas with the chain idea
being one of them. Let you know which direction I go.

you could bolt some bicycle chain in every other link around the circle you cut out
of the hull. Lathe out a another groove in your 2" nylon wheels for the chain.
Ether add a sprocket with every other tooth grinded out or replace the drive wheel
with the sprocket. See if it works. you can do the same thing with a geer with the
teeth on the inside but it might be hard to find one.
