T005 Makes First Makes First Fully Operational Test Run

Tyng Labs is please to announce that the advanced technology R/C tank platform T005 
"Tiger Killer" has made it's first fully operational test run.  The eight month 
development program came to fruition on June 22 at the Tyng proving grounds located 
in scenic Southern Maryland.  For the first time, T005 was put through its paces 
testing propulsion and fire control systems as an integrated unit.  With the 
exception of one issue (a sticky relay) all systems worked flawlessly and as 
designed.  Vehicle speed was not measured during the test run, but it was noted that 
speed on a flat and level surface was faster than a brisk walking pace.

Of particular note is the performance of the new EV Warrior drive motors that were 
incorporated into T005 in a last minute design change.  Steve Tyng, director of Tyng 
Labs had this to say concerning the upgraded drive system, "These new motors are 
just truly amazing.  The power and torque provided by the "Warriors" seems to be 
almost unlimited, and that was at only 12volts."  He continues, "I'd be afraid to 
see what this thing would do at 24volts which these motors are easily rated for."  
The new motors required an upgraded power and control system to handle the 
additional amperage requirements (100amps at stall).  Prototype fused 70amp H-bridge 
relay modules were incorporated into the design.  The relay modules are being 
controlled by a prototype PIC based relay mixer board provided by Tyng ally Anvilus 
Machine Works.  Besides controlling the drive motors, the Anvilus mixer has 
additional outputs to control four additional functions.  As installed in T005, the 
Anvilus mixer is controlling throttle, steering, and turret rotate.  Tyng labs is 
pleased to state that the Anvilus mixer worked flawlessly on T005's first test run.

In addition to propulsion, T005's fire control system was tested during the trial 
run.  Forty rounds were expelled before waning light ended the live fire exercise 
for the day.  Rounds were fired while stationary and while moving.  T005's 
redesigned magazine was able to feed a continuous supply of rounds to the marker 
without fault under all operating conditions tested.  There were no misfires or ball 
breakage.

Tyng Labs anticipates a stellar showing for 'Tiger Killer' in the upcoming "Battle 
for Middle Maryland".
