I'm using a 12v Gel Cell wheel chair battery I bought at Canadian tire $100, gives
me 1.25hrs, run time, fairly steady driving. And I don't take it easy very often.
I wil eventually add a second battery to the system but whether or not I run them in
parallel or swap them when needed will depend on the battle situation, and power to
weight ratio.
Steve.

I use two 12 V, 17 Ah gel cell batteries in parallel. I get about 45 minutes run
time. They are 6.5 tall, 7 wide and 3 thick. I carry them laying flat in the
bottom of my hull as shown in the attached photo.
I bought four from Mendelson Electronics www.meci.com but they sold out of stock.
You can often get them on Ebay.
Best wishes,
Joe
