Brian,

This is a small world.  I use to live just down the road from you on Fairfield Pike accoss from Old Mill Road.  It is the house with  the barn to the left of the house.  We sold it back in the 80's.

Ok, due to such a good response to Frank's email about the subject, Kraack Attack 1 is still on.  :^)

Since we've never really decided between the weekends of August 1-4 or August 8-11, I will decide now.  I think most people responded that August 8-11 is the best weekend, so that is it.  If anyone has any complaints or really, REALLY can't make it that weekend, but can the previous, speak now, or forever hold your peace.

Date:  August 8-11  (hostilities to occur on the 9 and 10)
Place:  My house,  3749 Rocky Point Road, Springfield, OH 45502.  Very near dayton, oh, the intersection of I-70 and I-75

If it is not rainy, people will be welcome to camp in my yard, though it will be pretty hot.  I will send out local accomodation details within the week.

I will have a release from liability that everyone must sign.  I hate to do it, but the realities of our legal system will require it.  Everyone will be required to wear a paint-ball style helmet on the field of battle, so please be sure to bring enough for your group.

I will work like heck to get my tank actually running by that time - don't know if I will be successfull or not.

I will have some recon photos of the battlefield available soon.  both before and planned layout.  at that point, we can figure out some scenarios to play.  There will be a staging area for each team, a small town (haybales or boxes) a bridge seperating the two halves (basically unmowed area that you are not allowed to drive through), and a few surprises.

You should plan on adding a lighting system to your tank, so you can identify where it is, and where the barrel is shooting, because I'd like to have a dusk/night battle saturday night ...
the rest will be team battles, one-on-ones if people want, and maybe a free-for-all ...

I plan on having some awards (small and cheap :).  maybe for best driver, gunner, of scale, tactician, etc.
