Eric,

Concerning the motor you are specifying for your turret.  Just to let you know, 
similar motors can be bought at Jameco.com or any number of suppliers for around 
$2.50.  There's no need to pay $15 for the motor your looking at.  I'm using a 
24volt gear motor similar to those at the following link to spin my turret.  It 
works well (just ask Frank) and I highly recommend it.

FYI, I think the MECI motors you're looking at (part number 420-0559?) are the EV 
Warrior motors that Bryan is using in his Tiger (T008).  You should contact him for 
ideas on reduction ratios and such.

Yes they are a little small but they are my choice       for the turret.
as for gears i have yet to find a likeable ratio.

they carrie a motor that runs on either 12/24 voltDC  it has a 5/16
keyway shaft..
that is my motor.
