"A hardware kit would be great-gearbox, turret ring gear w/pinion/mounts, pivoting
gun mantle, battery mount, high velocity main gun w/magazine, telescoping camera
targeting system w/ laser rangefinder"

Is that all? How about a gun stabilization system for accurate on-the-move shooting
ability? :-)

Steve,
Basic upper hull in fiberglass preferably (much cheaper) with turret. Lower hull
milled w/tracks and running gear w/suspension (car shocks) The more parts
incorporated off the shelf the cheaper and repairable it will be. I didnt get a
chance to see your work and have not started one yet but I thought an amateur's
perspective might be worth consideration. 1/6th scale would be great and would draw
more attention. Speaking for myself I would pay 2-300 for a good quality basic hull
and over 500 for one with tracks and suspension. A hardware kit would be
great-gearbox, turret ring gear w/pinion/mounts, pivoting gun mantle, battery mount,
high velocity main gun w/magazine, telescoping camera targeting system w/ laser
rangefinder :)

As I've been developing my T34 the thought has crossed my mind of offering this
design (and others in the future) in kit form for those interested in the hobby that
don't have the inclination or facilities to build something from scratch. This
thought has been reinforced lately by the many posts for links to manufacturers of
scale 1/6 AFV's (generally for very expensive exact scale reproductions). My
question is would there be any interest in semi-scale tank kits for combat, and if
so, what level of completions would you want to see? Would a hardware kit with full
size templates work? Or would milled hull sections and completed tracks be
required? What price would you be willing to pay?
