Just thought I would post to let you know that I to am considering making
kit forms of tanks and equipment I build. Whether it be just plans and parts
or partial assemblies is yet to be seen.On the club side I hope to have some
photos soon for the group. I have rounded up two others that are interested
in RC combat and have formed a club to help promote it. We are collaborating
on our first couple of units to help speed the learning curve.our first unit
to try will be an anti- tank gun controlled with a cheap infra-red control
as the unit is static I think this might be a cheap way in for some and will
cut down on frequencies needed in large battles.Our second project will be
armored cars, then tanks.
One comment, the single shot rule for anti tank / artillery guns seems to me
like it will slow the game play tremendously,
and I'm pretty sure that an experienced anti- tank gun crew could pump out
rounds as fast as any tank could ( shot of modern auto-loaders). So I would
like to propose a discussion on changing the single round rule on artillery
and anti-tank guns to allow a 5-10 round mag. No-one takes an anti-tank gun
to war with only one round.
Oh on the tank kit subject I have a CNC router in my shop that should make
kits from Baltic birch plywood quick and inexpensive once the programming is
done.
