Welcome aboard, Ben. Quite a few people have coughed over the price of
the commercial large-scale tanks and assemblies, which simply means that
you've got to roll up the sleeves and start modeling and scrounging. An
entire tank, including the cannon, can be built from scratch using parts
commonly found in hardware stores, flea markets and surplus catalogs.
In fact, half of the fun is figuring out how to solve a multitude of
operational problems while staying within your own personal budget and
scrounging skills. Some people go one way, while others go another, but
in the end, the tanks roll out onto the field and that's where the final
grades are given out. So, start asking away and we'll try to get you
rolling.

FYI: Quite a few prospective battlers have joined the mailing list in
the last few weeks that all live within 100 miles of Annapolis (the
self-proclaimed center of the R/C Tank Combat world ;-) Looks like we
can achieve a CBM (Critical Battling Mass) of 6 battlers by the end of
the year if everyone starts working on vehicles. And then, if
everything works out, we can invade the frontier territories west of the
Mississippi by the end of 2003. North America and world domination will
soon follow, I'm sure ;-)
