Ok that's what I thought, thanks Will.  I'll keep my eyes peeled for the Panzer III.

Ultimate Soldier, who makes the Stuart is coming out with a Panzer III and the end of this year. The Tiger tank the TRS sells is 1/18 and 1/32 not 1/6.

The stuart here in toys r us was about $299 or $399 canadian!!!!!!! I'd
only be willing to pay that for an axis tank.

Here, it was $50. Kinda pricey, but since I couldn't find any tank
'models'
in my area shops, I really didn't have much choice ... it will look nice
in
my bookshelf though :)

So toys r us has the tigers available now!? I'll have to get one. What
are
they selling for? I've seen the stuarts they had, but I didn't want to
pay
that much for one that isn't axis.

Well, here is where I am:

I have a scale 'model' of a Tiger I tank that I plan on using to get
my
dimensions off of. In case anyone cares, it's the Tiger tank from the
model
quality WW2 toy line they sell at toys-r-us - and it is really nice.

So, I will be ready to start framing up the tank itself very soon.
More
pics of the inside of the tanks would be nice, and/or more info about
the
framing, etc. Also, more detailed shots of the cannon system would be
helpful.

any tricks or traps you know of (besides what's on the page already)?
What
thickness sheeting did you use, and how did it stand up to paint hits
...
What kind of batteries are you using?

Basically anything more you have would be great to see (from an
inspirational point of view).

thanks,
/brian

In Reply To Brian Kraack Who Wrote On 8 May:

So, is anyone besides the two on the website actually building
tanks?
anyone near dayton, oh? I'm getting ready to start on my Tiger I,
so
more (and more detailed) pictures on the site would be
appreciated.
We've heard reports of numerous tanks being "started" around the
country, but we haven't seen any photos of works in progress yet.

I've got some additional photos of the existing three tanks and we
can
always take custom shots for those who are interested. What would
you
like to see?

As far as the email traffic on this mailing list, I think it will
increase as people start building things and there are more
questions/comments to be made. Since the beginning, it has always
been
a quiet list ... but perhaps that will change ;-)
