I hadn't actually considered weight, but 200lbs seems kinda heavy for a ~3ft long wooden tank.  Frank and/or Will, how much do your tanks weigh?  what kind/how many batteries are you using?

Also, I believe the tank has to be a certain scale, at least according to the rules as I read them (Paras. 2.1 and 2.3) ... so (if you care) you might want to check into that before you progress too far ...

It will be a custom built for the design function and not scale to a model.

It has to haul around compressed air, batteries, paintball paint.   I'm working hard to keep the overall weight under a design goal of 200 lb in case it runs into someone or over someone.  Might hurt but not break bones....  About like being run over by another player.

I've seen the Air Soft cars.  Just too small....

Chris and John,

If you are referring to the 1/25th scale Tokyo Marui series of tanks, or their knockoffs, then you won't want to shoot paintballs out of them.   They are meant for the 6 mm plastic Airsoft   balls -- the paintballs will jam in them.  I still haven't gotten around to dis-assembling my JGDF Type 90 to clean it up.  A real pain.

Well, I haven't the time to build the king tiger I want...... so it's no for me right now.  There is however a cheapp alternative in a smaller scale from Japan, that is only about $150.00 US and fires smaller caliber paintballs.  It has turret rotate, etc.  Contact Paul March for more info as he has purchased one.  Sorry, but I can't find his email address, try asking some of the 1/144th scale R/C warship combat guys, they might have his address if you're interested in one.

So, is anyone besides the two on the website actually building tanks?  anyone near dayton, oh?  I'm getting ready to start on my Tiger I, so more (and more detailed) pictures on the site would be appreciated.

The R/C tank combat list, that's who the emails are addressed to.  There haven't been many posts as of late!  Made me think the list was gone or something, until I got that email from Brian.

Hi,
My first message did not appear in the archive, and no-one responded to it, so I don't know if the list is still alive ... is it?
