I think people might be on to a great idea in making a tank destroyer, these little guys might become something to be feared. Take for example the the Jagpanzer IV, short little guys, 6.5 ft, that could miss the close range shots, someone might wanna consider a gun that depresses as well as elevates. Or the Jagdpanther, although not small, or any great attributes, the 8.8 cm gun would give it a punch, the lack of a turret just means less to fidget with and less to break on top of less weight. On a note of ww2 tanks forgive me, the Light Tank M3 was the small one with a 37mm gun, the Med Tank M3 was the one with a hull mounted 75mm gun. And i had another idea for the tank classes.
Stick with the three classes, light, medium, and heavy. Light being 0-45mm guns. Ending at 45 to include the t-70 light tank with 45mm gun as it was obviously a light, not medim tank.
Med class being 46-85mm, that one being from 46mm to include the Fiat m 13/40 medium
tank with 47mm gun. And Somua s035 medium tank with 47mm gun as well. And the Norinco Type 62 light tank is still not a heavy tank with 85mm gun.
And the heavy tanks with 86mm and up. I say that the sherman and t-34 tanks shouldn't be in this class as they really were medium tanks with 75-76mm guns and were classified as medium tanks. And the tigers still being here, although not the panthers as they were the equivilant of the t-34's and the shermans. As well this keeps modern tanks in their places as heavy tanks when they are main battle tanks and the medium tanks in their respective classes.
And there should be another class added, equivilant to the armored car with only 20rds and 2 shots. The mobile artillery, this includes the sepertate section of armored vehicles that includes all types from the sexton with 25 pounder gun to the russian 203mm mobile artillery platform.
On top of this we must not forget the mobile AA systems. However, to keep them from gaining med tank status they should also be in their own respective class, also equivilant with the armored car. These guns go from 20mm to 45mm ususally not higher then that. Although there is one with 57mm guns, but we can't have these in the med tank class so that's why i suggest the seperate class.
And last but not least, we have the APC's and both wheeled and tracked infantry carriers. Again, i think they should be in the armored car area, with 20 rounds and 2 hits. Since although they can be armed with 90mm guns, they don't stand a chance against a real tank.
