What I was thinking of was to measure the fps with a device I have seen at
the paintball grounds. With an adjustable psi, you can adjust the fps. The
device works by you shooting your gun though the sensors, and it gives you
how fast the paintball is moving. Set the limits on small, medium, and heavy
based on the fps.
Where I played paintball games they would keep the fps at or just under 300,
mainly because you break more balls in the barrel if you go higher. If you
are running at 150 now, then you have a little room to play with the setting
for the different caliber's of gun.
Checking may seem to be a pain, but you will have to check before each battle
to assure someone has not changed it, be it on purpose or not. Just simply
take the tanks and the device (I cannot remember the name) before each battle
fine tune the FPS. Seems to me that it would be SAFER, as you would know
right where everyone is at as far as gun power.
Just thinking out loud, if you get tired of it tell me to shut up,
